Rii took her very first photographic steps in Germany, where she’s from, then took influence from her early career in newspapers, working all around the UK. She now works mainly on portraiture for The Daily Telegraph and The Sunday Telegraph, and with clients in the arts world among others.
Rii’s photography has strong elements of colour and subtle humorous hints. She is inspired by her subjects’ unique strengths, emotions, and life-stories. She believes that a photoshoot should be a delightful, fun and co-operative experience, for her and her sitter, and that they should both enjoy the process and the time spent together. Her ability to work to tight deadlines is impeccable.

She lives in south London with her husband and two children.
